This is one of the few works you'll see on my DA page in which I was not the model. No, this is my passion and life-long frustration.

I used the photo here as a reference. Thanks so much for letting me use it!

Approx. 7 hours? Wild guess.
Graphite pencils.

this is amazing! i hope that with practice, i can get even half as good as that. i like all the little details, like the reflections of light and especially the build up of tears on the bottom lid of the eye. very realistic. kudos!

You're already doing well with surrealism! Surreal stuff is tons of fun too.. but drawings are way easier with a photo reference. Try it! I'm sure you'll kick ass.

lol. thankyou, and surrealism is great- you get to do whatever you want, with little contestation. and you're right, having a photo is nice. models are the best, though. it's an artistic high that keeps me going for hours. :P
